The funny thing about this card is the colors. About a year ago I purchased this beautiful "Mat Stack" of papers by DCWV - they are called La Creme. I loved the papers, the feel of the velvet on them and the elegant look (this one has the velvet feel!), but they are cream colored, not white. And it is a richer cream, not a lighter version, so it is very hard to match to or find colors that go... Well, for my birthday, I was able to spend a little bit of money on scrapbooking supplies, and I found DCWV La Creme cardstock stack at Ross Dress for Less for $4! Before I adhered this to the card, I added sheer ribbon from Celebrate It Sheer Creations across the top of the elegant paper. I then adhered to the card and added the bow.
At the top I used two different stamps to tie together my sentiment. The flowers are by Stampology - Autumn Leaves. Once stamped I outlined the black stamp ink (Studio G) with my Gel Writers black sparkly pen. The sentiment is new to me, by Hampton Art. For a finishing touch, I added the gems to the middles of the flowers (Recollections) to give it just enough sparkle...
